He had his first exhibition in 1910 at the Salon des Artistes Français. He was a pupil of Fernand Cormon. After obtaining his teaching diploma, he began to teach. From 1911 to 1943, he taught painting to many generations of young artists. In 1914, he received a first silver medal from the Association of French Artists. In 1925 he was awarded a gold medal at the Salon des artistes français, and a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition. from 1937. His paintings are exhibited in many museums around the world, including: Annecy Museum of Fine Arts, Art Institute of Chicago, Dahesh Museum of Art in New York, Museum of Art and History of Langres, Museum of fine arts -arts of Tourcoing, Museum of fine arts of Saint-Étienne, etc ...
