Chalcedony Gangue Microcrystals Pendant Characters Yellow Gold Attributed To Arlette Mouchet

Pendant attributed to the designer Arlette MOUCHET (deceased in 2015). A raw chalcedony was chosen as the scene for the staging of silhouettes that are both slender and athletic in appearance, seeming to climb the wall of this stone whose volume, contours and thickness are irregular. , giving a certain realism to the scene. Two characters join on either side at the top to form the bail of the pendant. All these characters are made of 18 KT yellow gold (eagle's head hallmark). The front represents the elaborate, worked, and shiny side of the pendant by the presence of microcrystals and gold silhouettes. This pendant, by the arrangement of the resto/verso bail, can also be worn on its back, presenting the material, the gangue, in its raw state. In order to reveal its material and make it a "painting", this chalcedony was chosen large (7 cm in total height) by the designer.
