Magnificent Kayseri in first quality finely hand-knotted wool, originating from Turkey in the region of the city of Kayseri and measuring 202 cm wide by 303 cm long, with a large floral medallion decoration around 1970 and in perfect condition.
The velvet of the Kayseri is always flat and the inspiration for these rugs comes from ancient Persian rugs, in particular from the Tabriz.
Surprisingly in Tabriz we tie silk carpets having the influence of Kayseri carpets.
These exchanges of drawings are due to the commercial and cultural contacts and exchanges that these two cities have had between them for many years.
These exceptional rugs with delicate patterns are inspired by nature and decorated with plant interlacing, in pastel dyes often enhanced by midnight blue (our model) or cardinal red.
Kayseri can be found in all sizes, knotted in wool or silk.
This rug has been professionally cleaned and environmentally friendly.
