Democratic Republic of Congo, Biombo people, around 1950, rare and superb male dance mask "Munjinga" in polychrome wood, raffia and vegetable fibers reminiscent of Kuba masks by its iconography. The face is marked by an important nose and a beautiful decoration composed of painted geometric patterns. Between painting and sculpture, this mask of African tradition is very modern.
