Beautiful large Indian floral rug inspired by William Morris. Circa 1970

William Morris was a British textile designer, poet, novelist and artist, among others. He is considered the father of the British Arts and Crafts movement, with many of his most notable works created in the mid to late 19th century.
Her style was distinctive and featured bold floral designs in vibrant colors.

This beautiful Arts and Crafts designer rug is a vintage rug that was woven in India and inspired by his works. This rug mimics the style of William Morris with its bold patterns and beautiful colors.
It is a large size rug with a formal quality. It would make a lovely addition to a Victorian home with hardwood floors and a large fireplace. It would also add a touch of authenticity to an Arts and Crafts home. You can also use it to add a point of contrast to modern decor. Shades of almond green, blood-red, brown-beige are popular color combinations and this rug has plenty of them.

This beautiful Indian rug pays homage to one of the great masters of 19th century design in its colors and pattern. Morris wrote numerous essays and published works on the "rules" and philosophy of his unique style, and many have imitated him over the years. This is a stunning piece that will add elegance to any space!

Size : 433x304 cm
Condition : Good, low wool, nuances in the colors, handmade carpet, perfectly imperfect ;)
