Beautiful pastel of a man in dark court costume, some powder from his wig on his shoulders, and waiscoat richly embroidered with flowers. It is dated and signed Anne Louise Lejeuneux 1760, known by signed pastels of 1760 and 1763 as well as by several portraits in oil including that of the astronomer La Caille.
She marriedAndré Baudin de la Chesnaye, a former musketeer, knight of Saint-Louis and then commander of the National Guard of Paris.
