Louis XV Cross
A finely chased Louis XV cross, paved with (controlled) diamonds set in silver, typical of the 18th century.
The diamonds were usually set with silver.
They are set in a closed setting.
The reverse side of the cross is traditionally vermetiled, to avoid soiling the garment worn.
Its gross weight is 5,3 gr.
It is in perfect condition (checked).
I wear it in a totally different way on a gold chain, rather thin, and on a casual outfit ... a trouser suit and a pair of trainers.
