Probably part of a merry-go-round, the front being very ornate and the back also being exquisitely painted.
Carefully cleaned, patina of time and use protected by a veil of varnish.
Many coats of paint, still very solid. Reinforcements on the rear completely revised redesigned, original fixing present.
Very decorative piece.
