"Salon Table In Queen Marquetry And Gilt Bronze - Louis XVI Period"
Elegant living room table in rosewood marquetry and chiseled and gilded mercury bronze trim. Very beautiful work of marquetry à la Reine, one of the most refined of the Louis XVI period. Ours represents a trellis in trompe l'oeil, the diamonds adorned with quartefeuilles. Our side table is topped with a cabaret top also inlaid and opens with a drawer in front. It lends itself well to the use of a side table in a living room or also a very refined bedside table. Very elegant Parisian production veneered on oak, our table is not stamped but no doubt the work of a great Parisian cabinetmaker from the beginning of the Louis XVI period. Our table is in excellent condition. Very beautiful colors that have remained fresh and very contrasting. The marquetry has been well preserved, little worn, little insolated in its history. It has been cleaned and repolished by our cabinetmaker. The mercury gilding of the bronzes (original) is still present. Width: 66.3cm Depth: 37.5cm Shelf height: 71cm
