RARE MYSTERIOUS NAPOLEON III CLOCK with black marble and gilt bronze base surmounted by a patinated spelter statue holding the pendulum. This rare pendulum system oscillating by shaking a statuette was patented by GUILMET, Watchmaker in PARIS in 1867. The movement is signed GLT patented. Ink exhaust at 90° from the wheel. The fork maintaining the oscillations of the pendulum is placed in the platform on which the statue is posed. Woman draped in the Antique brandishing the pendulum ending in a crystal disc, oscillating by shaking. Around 1870-1880. In operating condition. Height: 67 cm Width: 26 cm Depth: 21cm. Bibliography: Clémenti, Guilmet's mysterious pendulum. Identical model reproduced in the Tardy page 489 and a similar model in the French Pendule by KJELLBERG, page 483.
