Sacha Zaliouk, born Alexander Davidovich Zaliouk, is an illustrator, painter, draftsman and sculptor born in the Russian Empire, from a Jewish family in Radomysl, Ukraine. He studied painting at private schools in St. Petersburg, then at the Odessa School of Painting (1904 - 1910). He collaborated as an illustrator in some newspapers in Odessa. Arrived in France at the beginning of the 1910s, he quickly joined the Paris school, and was one of the founding members of La Horde de Paris. He works for magazines including "la vie parisienne", paints nudes, and draws erotic series. He also has a whole series of sculptures to his credit.
