Beautiful Empire clock called "Le porte-faix" by Jean André Reiche, the design of which was deposited in January 1808 in Paris. You can find the watercolor drawing at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris. The model of this clock is inspired by the novel Paul and Virginia by Bernardin de Saint-Pierre. It is a clock that has retained a beautiful gilding thanks to its protective globe.
