Pretty biscuit bust signed on the back "after H. MOREAU", French sculptor XIXth XXth century. This sculpture represents the fiancée who appears in a painting by Jean-Baptiste Greuze entitled "L'Accordée de village". The painting represents an 18th century village interior where we see a father paying his daughter's dowry to the future fiancé. The bride modestly lowers her head. Very good state.
