Ewer In Earthenware - Rouen, 18th Century

EWER called "in helmet of Mars" in earthenware with red and blue decoration on a bluish white enamel, with S-shaped throat with animated pedestal and handle with butt and projection. It is decorated with the head of a bearded man, shells, gadroons, lanceolate tongues and friezes of stylized leafy floral motifs.
Height: 24.5cm.
ROUEN, first half of the 18th century

Very good condition, three tiny égrenures are however reported on the edge of the throat as well as a small lack of original enamel at the base of the pedestal
