The lid with a beautiful bronze finial in the shape of a shell, the vase with polychrome decoration in Famille Rose, of stems and leaves on a pink background, the base with gilt bronze acanthus leaf feet, marked on the reverse E.S
Small loss to a stem and tip of a leaf (see last photo).
The model is well known with a pair of pot-pourris France circa 1745 with Chinese porcelain circa 1740, today in the Wallace Collection, London.
The vases were bought by Sir Richard Wallace in 1872 (Reference F115-6).
