Culpeper type microscope mounted on balusters on a circular wooden base. The optical tube slides into the body of the microscope and can be unscrewed into 3 parts. It is kept in a mahogany case with a drawer containing numerous accessories: 1 additional objective, 1 fish holder, 1 bath for aquatic preparations, 3 bone preparation holders (preparations in thin mica strips held in place by a brass ring), 11 glass preparation holders covered with green paper and filled with preparations, 1 ivory slide case and a small round flat brass box, a pair of tweezers
This microscope has various traces of use, the brass is oxidized in places, the mirror is pitted. Mahogany wood case, in original pyramid, the key of which has been sealed to the lock.
