Small, simple microscope used by botanists and entomologists. The column is fixed on the lid of its storage case.
The focus is achieved by moving the stage vertically. A mobile mirror allows observation with transmitted light.
The box contains 10 accessories: 2 other objectives, a white and a black background, a live-box as well as a stage, a mirror, a spade, a clamp and a magnifying glass all articulated.
The microscope is not signed, but probably English and dates from the first half of the 19th century (around 1820-1830) when Charles Gould introduced this type of microscope.
A fine copy of this type, very complete, and in very good condition.
