Louis XV Style Gilt Bronze Clock
Small Louis XV style rock cartel in gilt bronze. Patinated bronze putto damping. Decor of foliage, scrolls and braces, curved glass. Enamelled dial with Arabic and Roman numerals, signed "A. Bailly, Lyon". Movement doubly signed: in Paris, and AD MOUGIN, two medals. Around 1880. Height 38 cm, width 26 cm, depth 17 cm. In working order, serviced by a professional watchmaker. Adolphe Mougin (1848-1928), watchmaker from Héricourt, received at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1889, first a bronze medal, then a silver medal in 1900.
