Exceptional Bronze By Emile PICAULT, representing King Midas, seated on a rock and holding the source of the river Pactole; in Greek mythology the pactole was a small river where there was a lot of gold flakes. This sculpture is signed on the edge of the terrace E. PICAULT and bears the mention "salon des beaux arts" the patina is exceptional. Emile PICAULT was born in 1833 and died in 1915 French sculptor
