Each cup represents cartels illustrating people of Chinese origin.

Jean-Pierre Feuillet (1777-1840) is a porcelain painter from the drawing school founded in Chantilly by the Prince of Condé, of which he was one of the suppliers. He led a porcelain painting workshop in Paris and was replaced by Boyer. We find some of his works in the Chantilly museum.
