Painting in which Galatea loved a handsome young shepherd named Aci, but she was in turn loved by Polyphemus the monstrous giant monocle of the line of the Cyclopes. One day Polyphemus sat on the top of a promontory and with the flute he played a love song to Galatea. Not far from there the flocks of Ace graze while beyond the rocks the two lovers flirt. Oil on panel in perfect condition.
