Joseph Victor Ranvier - Aurora - France - French Exhibition Paris 1878- Palais Légion Honneur

The Aurora or The Noise oil on canvas, cm. 55×75 Trace of a signature at the bottom left. The work was exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1878 to demonstrate Ranvier's work in the Aurora salon, in the palace of the legion in Paris, which occupied him for about 4 years; A postcard was made of the work to compare with the title of "The Noise", accompanied by the "General catalogue of non-alterable carbon reproductions of original paintings, frescoes and drawings from museums, galleries and the most important European private collections, as well as contemporary works, 1896, Casa éditeur Dornach, New York". The catalogue identifies the artists and their works in alphabetical order, preserved in collections or museums on a regular basis. We have not carried out any conservative restoration.
