Mahogany Shipowner Louis XV Slope Desk - Nantes Region Eighteenth
Nantes shipowner's Louis XV desk in solid mahogany. It opens with a flap and three drawers in two rows, with visible crosspieces. The molded quarter-round amounts, the scalloped belt, it rests on four arched feet. The flap reveals six niches - including a secret one closing with a hidden system - and four small drawers, one of which is compartmentalised. It offers a work plan of 88cm X 31cm. The drawers are lined with keyholes and bronze handles. The keys are in working order.
