Jean Le Guennec, French painter born September 21, 1924 and died April 24, 1988 by committing suicide. A student of the Beaux Arts in Paris, he was interested in engraving, sculpture and painting. He will illustrate many books and produce many lithographs. He will exhibit in Paris at the Salon de Mai and the Salon d'Automne. Our gouache is representative of his melancholy period during which he painted many subjects.
