Regency Style Writing Table - Dlg François Linke - Violet Wood - 19th

Magnificent Regency style writing table from the Napoleon III period. High-end work rich in similarities with the works of François Linke. This table is worked in kingwood and has an exceptional cube marquetry on the top. This crimping appeared during the second half of the 18th century, bringing together pieces of diamond wood to create an innovative perspective of depth. This table opens with a frieze drawer. It has superb curved lines typical of the Louis XV and Regency styles. This richly eventful work worthy of a renowned cabinetmaker is also found in the quality of the bronzes. Indeed, the uprights are dressed in finely chiseled gilt bronze corner drops with Rocaille decorations of magnificent quality. It is the same for the ingot mould, the shoes and the keyhole entry, which is exceptional. This table has been completely restored and refinished with a buffer. It is difficult not to attribute this table to François Linke but no mark was found on the bronzes.
