Beautiful representation of an imperial eagle, bird of Jupiter associated with military victories. He is represented holding Jupiter's spindle and his thunderbolts in his claws. Very powerful and realistic, this bronze with a brown patina of very fine carving rests on a molded base in white Carrara marble. French work from the first half of the 19th century. No signing.
