"Emile Gallé (1846-1904) Rare Night Light With Apple Blossoms From Japan Art Nouveau"
Superb and rare night light in multi-layered glass with a rounded quadrangular shape on a small conical heel. Rotating decoration finely acid-etched on the four sides in deep reserve of Japanese apple tree branches laden with buds and shaded red flowers on a satin yellow background. A fine carving, a deep relief, the red-raspberry / wine-red color which bursts on the yellow background. Stunning color contrast! Very beautiful quadrangular shape of a night light (and not a vase mounted as a lamp). Period 1900. Beautiful perforated frame in bronze, all original including the tightening screws. Signed "Gallé" in reserve in the decoration. Height: 17.5 cm Circumference: 36 cm Many other objects to discover in my stand at the antique fairs in which I participate.
