Pair of wall brackets in carved and gilded lime wood, semi-circular in shape with cherubs answering each other, each of the cherubs is leaning against a crosshatched coat of arms with volutes, all of them holding a sphere. These support a balcony with curved arch where runs around the periphery of scrolls of acanthus leaves. Intended for the interior decoration of aristocratic Comtadin private mansions, these brackets were intended for the presentation of rich porcelain from the East and even Delft earthenware. They were placed on either side of a mirror with similar volutes or between two windows. The specific work of the Venaissin master sculptors gives this pair of wall brackets so atypical all its letters of nobility; we find all the exuberance of the south combined with the theatrical taste of a magnificence all Italian. Work Comtadin or of the papal enclave of the middle of the XVIIIth century around 1750. It is to note an old restoration on the right scroll of the coat of arms of one of them.  Dimensions: Height 44.5cm for one and 43.5cm for the other. Width: 34.5cm, Depth 22cm for one 21.8 for the other.
