"Gien Fireplace Set 1871-1875. Renaissance Model "
Exceptional gien faience garniture of Renaissance style dating from the XIX °, "Italian" model. Very rich decoration taking again all the attributes of the Italian Renaissance (Urbino) with in particular a cartouche presenting a cherub surrounded by two newts now a crown.
Side grips in the shape of dolphins holding rings in their mouths, leafy feet ending in a snail, mark of Gien (1871-75) on all the pieces.
Dimensions: height 23.5 cm and diameter of 18 cm for the 2 vases forming a pendant. 35 cm wide, 23 cm deep and 18 cm high for the center piece.
The set is in excellent condition, without shine or cracks. We are at your disposal for any further information.
