Rare set of 4 pine and straw chairs by René Sourzac (1907-1998)

Good general condition, note, 1 bit of straw missing on one of the chairs.

We include an original plan of one of these chairs, at scale 1/10 drawn by René Sourzac as well as a certificate of authenticity issued by the designer's beneficiaries.

René Sourzac, painter, sculptor, illustrator and designer, graduate of the Boulle School, was the pupil and then the collaborator of Jacques-Emile Rulhmann.
Just like Maurice Pré, Lucien Rollin, Maxime Old, Henri-Jacque Le Même, who also joined Ateliers Rulhmann at the same time.
In 1930, he took charge of the decor of the large living room of the liner Normandie.
Today, very few of his creations are available on the market.
