Yves TRÉVÉDY (Rennes 1916-1990): "Cupid's arrow"; Oil on paper, signed lower left, dimensions: 31 x 41 cm He was a student of the Decorative Arts and Fine Arts schools in Paris. He was first Grand Prix de Rome, prize of the Rothschild foundation in London and former resident of the casa Velázquez in Madrid. He participated in Paris in various exhibitions: French artists, autumn, and Tuileries. Personal exhibitions in Paris, Geneva, Lausanne, Brussels. From his first exhibition in 1943 at Petridès, his intimate painting, heir to Bonnard and Juillard, met with great success and received praise from Claudel and Sacha Guitry. A man of culture and a demanding artist, his taste for all the arts has truly sublimated his painting which has thus always remained personal and unclassifiable. Museum: Bordeaux – Oslo – Paris
