The Beach Of Cassis By Michel Zimmermann Twentieth

Superb view of a Cassis Beach oil on cardboard measuring 50cm x 65cm signed right to left M.ZIMMERMANN Michel ZIMMERMANN would be a pseudonym of Michel TOPLEK painter of the XXth century Artist painter of academic training; after some classic experiences, exhibitions and competitions (won with 1st prizes), he turned towards a more self-taught painting, trying to be the least influenced and to keep a certain authenticity. Exterior painter, he travels through many regions in order to always be in contact with the subject. His observation and his experience lead him to innovate a technique that he calls undulism: the complete work is made up of multiple juxtaposition of slightly curved twin keys which give the painting an undulating effect. These works are most often in gouache but also in oil.
