Exceptional ivory partially fossilized or petrified (he certainly stayed at least patially in the sea water? given his alteration on the lower part and part of the body of the statuette)
The draped Buddha sits in a meditation position and curiously topped with a snake dragon.
Some residual colors traces show that the statue was polychrome.
Given the sculpturefeatures, I think the original Burmese piece, twelfth or thirteenth century ?
Condition: please check photos, its patina is just... incredible !!!
