Elegant Louis XV chest of drawers in rosewood and amaranth marquetry.
Slender silhouette with small arched feet,
The frame is in oak and the drawers in softwood.
It opens with 5 drawers in 3 rows

The marquetry is of high quality and of good thickness.
Very beautiful set of chiseled and gilded bronzes such as: pull handles, keyholes, scraps and clogs.

The parquet is topped with an old red marble, formerly restored, with a thickness of 3 cm, reported.
Stamped twice on the crossbar and front upright upright with Jurande hallmark (JME).

Jean Charles ELLAUME:
Received Master on November 6, 1754, he opened his workshop on rue Traversière where, for 30 years, he produced quality furniture, in particular chests of drawers and flat desks, mostly in the Louis XV style, all in rosewood veneer or violet framed by rosewood or amaranth.
The bronze ornaments are elegant and finely chiseled.
ELLAUME was considered, in his time, as an excellent cabinetmaker.
