Object description :

"Interior Of The House Of Brewers Of Antwerp, Oil On Wood From 18 Eme Century"
In 1555, Gilbert Van Schoonbeke built several breweries including the Maison Hydraulique d'Anvers. Our table shows the reception room where the brewers met. This charming genre scene shows us the daily maintenance of this room which was also painted by the Belgian painter Henri de Braekeleer (1840-1888). Our painting is monogrammed with two interlaced letters including an "N", and dated 47 for 1747 (On a hand-carved panel and irregular reverse).
