Changer's scale, weighs guinea. Folding model signed WILKINSON, used for the weighing of a guinea, a half-guinea and gold, in brass in its mahogany case with explanatory labels and signature. closing of the case by perfect pressure.On the flail, on one side a rocking weight to weigh either the guinea or the half-guinea; on the other side a sliding weight on graduations to weigh the gold.
Anthony WILKINSON (c. 1732-1801) was the inventor of this type of balance in 1797.
