Charming winter scene representing an old man and two small children in a snowy street. Against a background of muted colors, one can be touched by the slightly worried attitude of these two children accompanied by a benevolent grandfather. This work is reminiscent of the children painted by François-Louis Lenfant from Metz. Sumptuous frame in period gilded stucco, adorned with engraved palmettes, flowers, pearls and Greek. Oil on mahogany panel, no restorations or accidents. French school from the mid-19th century. Frame: 51 cm x 44 cm. Panel: 26 cm x19 cm.
