Genuine pair of silver covered salt shakers from the XVIIIth century. Oval-shaped model resting on 4 winding feet, highlighted with nets. The original hinged shell-shaped lids. Hallmarks of Paris 1749 (Letter I) Hallmarks of the famous master silversmith BALZAC jean françois, received on January 25, 1749 as privileged silversmith according to the court. He was apprenticed to François Marteau, the King's goldsmith at the Louvre galleries. It is therefore the first pieces of goldsmith's work which created the year of its reception.
