Box of matches rather rare, with zipper opening by system, in carved fruit wood,
French Folk Art at the end of the XIXth - beginning of the XXth.
Finely carved decoration of a woman in profile, at her window behind her curtain; and all around the box a guilloche frieze.
Scraper of originin his accommodation on the back. Monoxyl box (lower part).
Three movement opening system: the part fixed by an iron screw acting as a hinge is turned a quarter of a turn, then the cover is rotated from below to the right, the cover is gently pulled down and it opens by pivoting to the right.
Good condition, beautiful original patina.
