"Vase With Dahlias, The French Glass, Ch. Schneider, Art Deco 1920s"
A tiered glass vase decorated with a pattern of stylized dahlias. The motif of the flowers surrounding the vase is rhythmic and the leaves take on a somewhat decorative and geometric shape, characteristic of the early art deco style. Le Verre Français (1918-1932) - artistic glassware brand of the Schneider brothers, Ernest and Charles, the former being the director and the latter the designer of the product. The brothers gained experience in the famous Daum family factory until 1912, before opening their own artistic glassworks in 1913. They gained fame and recognition for the high quality of their products and the modern style of their work, which nevertheless refers to the legacy of the masters of the previous generation, for example through their love of representing the world's diversity of flora and fauna.
