Isfahan carpet (Persia around 1940) in Korke wool measuring 3.10 x 2.10 meters and a knotting fineness of 600,000 stitches per m2. The rich decoration of flowers entwined and surrounded by boteh patterns and the shimmering colors give this rug an exceptional quality. The city of Isfahan, formerly the capital of Persia under the reign of Shah Abbas, was the cradle of royal workshops.
