Pair of splendid Venetian views representing the "Basin of San Marco" and the "Riva degli Schiavoni". - N. 1 (View from the East)
The magnificent context, considered the most spectacular in the city, is taken from two different angles. The two small jewels are painted in oil on canvas with a brush tip with excellent rendering of details highlighted by a high level pictorial technique. The endless variety of boats and figures that swarm in the lagoon and the perspectives of the majestic palaces of the Serenissima are rendered in a truly perfect way. The figures are painted in the most typical Venetian school of the '700, with precise brushstrokes with vivid colors and the architectures are defined in miniature. These little masterpieces were made in Venetian workshops in the 19th and 20th centuries to satisfy wealthy British and American tourists who wanted to take home a souvenir of this fantastic city. They were made in small sizes and left unframed for easy transportation. Now they have become very rare and sought after by collectors for their beauty. Those particularly valid and good times are often confused with the important works of the great masters and in this case they are practically identical
. Both canvases are in excellent condition without alterations or restorations.
Beautiful golden frames from the 19th century.
The canvas measures 30 x 40 frames 50 x 60
