"Boudha Shan Tai Yai, Burma, Late 18th Century"
Sculpture in the round with residues of red lacquer and gold leaf, representing Buddha Shakyamuni seated in vajraparyanka with the gesture of the earth connection to witness (bhumisparsa mudra). it dates from the end of the 18th century and has a face of great serenity, typical of the quality of great Buddhist works.
