Rare desk by French designer Pierre Paulin edited by Thonet in the years 1955-1957. This desk is the model CM172, first edition, with two suspended pedestals. Very rare model with 6 drawers. Typical French modernist furniture with a black lacquered metal structure and mahogany boxes creating an elegant contrast of colors and materials. This desk is a benchmark of French furniture from the 1950s. It boasts clean minimalist lines. Its black formica top recalls the color of the cuffs. The boxes rest on a magnificent Y-spacer base. Office held by an architect for a long time, therefore slight traces of use. No keys.
