Small Chest Of Drawers In Veneer From The Eighteenth Time
Small in-between chest of drawers with front and curved sides in veneer wood: Amaranth, rosewood in the reserves, decoration inlaid with flowering branches in end grain violet wood. It opens with two drawers separated by a crossbar, the pinched ribbing amounts end with an arched foot. The red Flanders marble top is molded with a corbin beak. Ornamentation of gilded bronzes: Falls, apron, keyholes and clogs. Louis XV period This small chest of drawers with elegant proportions is original by its marquetry of flowering branches in violet end wood on a rosewood background. Similar work can be found in Léonard Boudin's work in the manufacture of certain chests of drawers.
