Beautiful, bright work with strong contrast from painter Gustave Vidal who represents an animated view of the port of Bonifacio in Corsica.
The artist was able to perfectly transcribe the flamboyant light of a summer day and the calm of the Mediterranean sea.
Student at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Avignon under the direction of the painter Pierre Grivolas who will encourage his students, including Gustave Vidal, to paint outdoors. He will be under the influence of the new school of Avignon and the abstract painters.
His own style combines knife technique and pictorial stylization.
He obtained many awards from his beginnings, and exhibited around the world.
Dimensions: 60 x 92 cm without frame and 76 x 108 cm with its original gilded wood frame.
