Six Louis XV Chairs
Series of 6 Louis XV chairs in sculpted beech, formerly lacquered. Work in the style of Tilliard II Jacques Jean-baptiste (1723 - 1797) Flat file to the Queen, carved at the top of a heart-shaped cartouche connected by a branch. Shoulders of the top of the backs decorated with acanthus leaves. Belt adorned with a heart-shaped cartouche surrounded by a pleat. Front base sculpted at the top of the flowerette. Tapestry trim decorated with bouquets of roses tied with a ribbon, in very good condition. Period: Late 18th century, early 19th century Dimensions of the seat: H: 44 x D: 44 x W: 53
