Decoration or funeral deposit, this molded terracotta plaque features a Gorgon, with snakes in her hair and sharp teeth. Very good origin: old Altounian collection before 1940 (annex label 587). In this small series of molded plaques, a copy is kept in the Cleveland Museum of Art (Ref. 1996.34) and another in the British Museum (GR.57.1887).
