He shows his work at the Salon in Lyon in 1833 and in Paris in 1835 and wins a third class medal in 1844. He lives in Lyon2. He produced portraits of animals, in particular animals placed in landscapes or military scenes. In 1849 he married Marie Caroline Pionin, a native of Claix, and bought the delphinal castle there. He died on February 12, 1870 in Versailles.
