Superb pair of 19th century bronze candlesticks after Jean de Bologne. They represent for one Fortune, goddess of luck, and Mercury, god of good fortune in Roman mythology. The bronze stars are presented on a molded cylindrical base and each of the characters holds a bobèche in his hand to hold a candle. Quality cast bronze with a superb aged brown patina, in excellent condition.
